Why CareUmbrella

One record. Many supports connected.

Health information is scattered across hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, paper folders and family group chats. CareUmbrella brings it together so the right person can see the right information at the right time.

Organize everything

Add records from portals, PDFs, photos, and trusted sources. On-device AI helps turn them into a clear personal health record.

Secure and private

Your data stays on your device. You decide who can see it, what they can see and for how long.

Share instantly

Give loved ones, caregivers or clinicians secure peer-to-peer access through a simple QR scan.

Built around the person

Designed for patients, aging adults, kids with special needs, families and the professionals who support them.

How it works

Four simple steps to better care, everywhere.

1

Collect

Bring together discharge summaries, medication lists, lab reports, photos, notes and other health information.

2

Organize

CareUmbrella structures the information into a clear, chronological record stored securely on the device.

3

Share and approve

A caregiver or clinician scans a QR code and requests access. The record owner approves or refuses the request.

4

Use it when it matters

Carry an emergency-ready summary and a fuller history into new hospitals, clinics, home care and travel.

Emergency medical summary

Emergency-ready information

Make allergies, medications, major conditions, devices and key contacts easier to find when every minute matters.

Privacy by architecture

Your health information should belong to you.

CareUmbrella is designed around patient ownership. The record is encrypted and stored on the user’s device, while sharing occurs peer to peer. On-device AI provides organization and insight without requiring the medical record to be held in a central CareUmbrella database.

The care community

One person, surrounded by the right people.

Aging care often involves family, physicians, nurses, personal support workers, emergency teams and community providers. CareUmbrella helps each trusted person work from the same patient-owned source of truth.

Older adult surrounded by family and care professionals

Why now

Care moved everywhere. The record did not.

Aging adults now move between hospitals, specialists, rehabilitation, home care, travel and family caregivers. Their information remains fragmented across institutional systems. At the same time, on-device AI and secure peer-to-peer technology now make a truly patient-owned record practical.

A massive coordination problem

Families are already acting as the integration layer between disconnected providers, portals, PDFs and paper records.

A focused entry market

We start with aging adults and caregivers, where missing information creates immediate clinical, emotional and operational costs.

A platform, not another portal

The personal record becomes the coordination layer through which families, clinicians and care organizations collaborate.

Privacy as infrastructure

Local storage and peer-to-peer sharing reduce dependence on a central repository of identifiable health information.

Built by caregivers

Driven by lived experience and clinical insight.

CareUmbrella was created by people who have seen how incomplete information can place patients and families at risk. Hayman is a rehabilitation physician with specialization in geriatric care who has coordinated others and his own elderly parents healthcare journeys. Nisten brings AI and technical execution. Together, they are building a secure patient-owned record for real-world transitions of care.

“Families should not have to become the health record just to keep someone they love safe.”
